Hello and welcome to my little piece of the internet.
If you're familiar with my other writings, you know I usually write with structure, intent, and specific audiences in mind. Here, things are different. This space is for my raw thoughts, my personal experiences, and my unfiltered voice.
Why I'm Writing (at all)
Self Expression
I want to express myself. Writing is my way of thinking, solving problems, and understanding both the world and myself better. This blog is a space where I can freely explore these thoughts.
Add Value
My aim is to add value to the conversations I get into. I don't always have the answers, but I am committed to asking good questions and offering thoughtful guesses. This is a place for exploration and dialogue.
Transparency
Also, I write as a place for those who read my other writing to concider the source. No matter what I am writing about:
— even my businesses-based writing at John at Work, theInudstryDirect, Business Web, Restaurant Web, The Restaurant Industry and the new project of Local Web Pilot and Value Local.
Content to Expect
Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what this journey will look like, and that's part of the excitement. In my other works, I often use "we" and write in the third person. But here, it's just me.
I plan to share content that:
- Asks Questions: I have more questions than answers, and I want to explore them with you and the internet.
- Tests Ideas: I have a lot of ideas. Are they any good? We'll find out together.
- Expresses Art: You'll see my art and the art of others that inspires me.
- Provides Value: On my best days, I hope to share something meaningful.
Content Expectations
I don't want to add to the noise and exploitation that often fills the internet. I commit to not accepting disinformation and to monitoring myself for such violations. When I make mistakes, I'll correct them.
I aim to bring value to the web — to anyone who sees, hears, and otherwise consumes my content — and I hope to receive value back in the form of engagement and feedback.
